Plasma facelift
PLASMALIFT FIBROBLASTING is a revolutionary new technology used for eyelid corrections and a range of other treatments. This treatment method uses plasma, or ionised gas molecules. PLASMALIFT FIBROBLASTING treatment involves treating small areas of the skin with plasma. Without making direct contact with the skin, a small arc consisting of charged plasma connects the device to a tiny area of skin. In response, skin fibres contract, producing a lifting effect. This process can hardly be felt, if at all. A PLASMALIFT FIBROBLASTING treatment session involves a series of these arcs, which can be used to accurately target problem areas. A single treatment session lasts 10 to 15 minutes. The targeted area recovers very quickly and though minor swelling is possible, it is very rare.
Number of sessions
The number of sessions you will need depends on how much excess skin you have, the complexity of the problem and your wishes & preferences. Before starting treatment, we will first discuss how many sessions you will need to achieve the desired result. Often, just a single session is enough.
Is it painful?
In principle, this is a pain-free treatment method. When targeting larger areas of skin or highly sensitive areas, such as the eyelids, mouth and lips, you may prefer using an anaesthetic cream, which is applied 30 to 40 minutes before the session.
Minimum recovery time
After treatment, the targeted skin may exhibit some light swelling that can last for an average of two days. This treatment method also causes the skin to ‘crust’, i.e. a multitude of tiny scabs will appear. It can take between 5 to 7 days for these scabs to disappear, but they can easily be covered up in the meantime, limiting any inconvenience to a minimum. It is important to protect the skin against harmful radiation with sunscreen after treatment.
